A portrait of the bride, outside the wedding day.
Most wedding photography happens within the rhythm of the day - fast-moving, emotional, and beautifully unpredictable.
But many brides find themselves wanting something more intentional. A moment to step away from the timeline and be photographed with care, in a space designed entirely for the portrait.
The studio offers that space.
A dedicated session
A bridal studio session is a separate experience from the wedding day.
It is unhurried, collaborative, and focused entirely on creating a lasting portrait of the bride.
Many clients choose to bring multiple dresses or looks, something that is often difficult to fully explore on the wedding day itself.
Working in black and white, with sculpted light and minimal surroundings, the focus is placed where it belongs - on expression, form, and presence.
The process
Sessions are photographed at John Christopher Studio in Denver.
Each sitting is approached as a study - guided, but never rushed.
We move through a series of portraits, allowing space for both structure and spontaneity.
Hair and makeup can be coordinated with the studio’s preferred artist to ensure the work translates naturally in black and white.
The collaboration
This featured session with Payton Bernstine was created in collaboration with a team of artists:
