About John Christopher Studio

John Christopher Studio is the portraiture practice of photographer JC Buck, dedicated to creating timeless black-and-white portraits.

Drawing from the traditions of classic studio photography, JC approaches portraiture as a quiet study of character and presence. Each portrait is shaped through sculpted light, minimal composition, and authentic expression.

His work has included portraits of individuals and families, artists and musicians, performers and members of the Colorado Symphony — each approached with the same intention: to create photographs with emotional weight and a sense of permanence.

While no longer operating as a traditional portrait studio, JC continues to explore portraiture as part of his broader artistic practice and welcomes inquiries for select commissions and creative collaborations.
